We’re thrilled to partner again with TIDBRF 2026 to help get your team to the Island for the races!
Special Discounted Fare:
Paddlers, coaches, officials and volunteers pay only $12 (+HST) each way (regular fare is $15), with proof of your TIDBRF email, Pirate Taxi Booking confirmation email, or wristband.
Family & friends are welcome too — they pay the regular $15 (+HST) fare.
Ticket Purchase:
There are 2 ways to buy your Pirate Taxi tickets:
1). You can prepurchase (new this year), by clicking on Purchase Tickets at the top right of this page, and choose Single Ride Ticket (click the icon until you have the desired number of tickets – your total shows in the shopping cart icon).
Then click on the shopping cart icon. 
On the next screen, enter the discount coupon code DRAGO2026 in the coupon discount field.
Your discounted price will be displayed.
Then proceed to checkout.
You will receive an email and text with a QR code that has the total number of tickets you’ve purchased. When you arrive at the dock on race day, our dock attendant will scan your QR code and you can hop on board.
2). Or, you can pay at the dock when you arrive, with debit, credit or cash.
Reserve Your Departure Time
Pirate Taxi strongly recommends booking a departure time, so we can be sure to have all the boats we need standing by to take you to Center Island. Priority boarding will be given to those with a reserved departure time.
To book a departure time with Pirate Water Taxi, follow the steps below:
- Choose your departure date from the calendar
- Then your departure time
- Click Next, and you will be prompted to enter your contact info, the number of people in your group, and which of our 2 docks you will be coming to
Note, that if the time slot you’ve chosen is at capacity, you will be prompted to choose another departure time (if you have a large group, you can try splitting them among different departure times). If you can’t find a time that works for you for your group, please send an email to events@piratetaxi.ca with the number of passengers in your group, and your preferred departure time, and departure dock, and we will try to get additional boats to accommodate you.
And if your group is greater than 12, you may have to make multiple bookings to schedule them all.
Once you’ve Registered, you will receive a Confirmation email.
If you plan to be on the Island for both days, please book your departure times for both in advance (or book as soon as you know your race time for Sunday). Once, you’ve registered for Saturday, return to the main booking page and repeat the process, choosing Sunday on the calendar on the left.
Pirate Taxi has 2 docks, with ample parking nearby and close to TTC:
235 Queens Quay West, on the boardwalk
375 Queens Quay West, beside HTO Park West, between Spadina and Rees Street
No booking needed for return trips — just come to the Centre Island water taxi dock when you’re ready and pay on the city side. You will receive the same discounted fare on the return trip.
Bikes, strollers, wagons and dogs can be brought on board at no extra charge.
